# What is BambooCloud IDaaS?
IDaaS = ID as a Service, literally meaning this is a service form. In China, IAM = Identity management + Access Management is already quite familiar, so BambooCloud IDaaS can also be understood as cloud-based IAM. From the management side, it is managing all applications based on a user's ID; from the user side, it is using one ID to access and reach all applications.
The core of BambooCloud IDaaS is identity management + identity authentication, accompanied by corresponding synchronization + authentication protocols or mechanisms, as well as corresponding management processes and functions. On this basis, various authentication methods are provided to protect the authentication entry, various auditing means are provided to record and audit access processes and content, and corresponding AI models are added to identify risks and provide abnormal alerts and protection.
